Jamie NairnRob Crilly

Wootton Primary School has been at the heart of the local community since 1872 when the village first received a grant to help educate the local children. We are very pleased to be able to welcome you to our school website. We hope you get a real sense of the pride and enjoyment that staff and children have when they are a part of our very special school.

The school has very good relationships with the local community and actively welcomes many visitors to school to enhance the education of our children. Our children also get involved in a great many activities within the village, which supports their connection with their local area.

Relationships with parents are highly valued, as part of this, as we believe that children thrive best when school and home works in partnership. We believe that primary school should be about developing children to become great citizens of the future. So our staff work incredibly hard to support all children achieve the best they can academically, and rightly so.

We also believe it is important that children develop a wide range of skills beyond the academic. At Wootton, our children are given a vast array of wider opportunities, including sport, dance, music and drama. To support us in this, we have a large hall, a dance studio, a library and other areas to enhance learning opportunities.
